Product name Anti-HPK1 antibody
Short Description Rabbit Polyclonal to HPK1.
Description HPK1 is a protein encoded by the MAP4K1 gene which is approximately 91,3 kDa. HPK1 is localised to the cytoplasm and cell membrane. It is involved in the TGF-beta pathway, MAPK signalling pathway, B cell receptor signalling pathway and NF-kappa B signalling. It is a serine/threonine-protein kinase, which may play a role in the response to environmental stress. It appears to act upstream of the JUN N-terminal pathway and may also play a role in hematopoietic lineage decisions and growth regulation. HPK1 is expressed primarily in hematopoietic organs, including bone marrow, spleen and thymus. Mutations in the MAP4K1 gene may result in Paget disease. STJ93590 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of HPK1 protein.

Function Serine/threonine-protein kinase, which may play a role in the response to environmental stress. Appears to act upstream of the JUN N-terminal pathway. May play a role in hematopoietic lineage decisions and growth regulation. Able to autophosphorylate.
Post-translational Modifications Autophosphorylates: phosphorylation promotes ubiquitination by the Cul7-RING(FBXW8) ubiquitin-protein ligase complex, leading to its degradation by the proteasome. ; Ubiquitinated by the Cul7-RING(FBXW8) ubiquitin-protein ligase complex following autophosphorylation, leading to its degradation by the proteasome.
Tissue Specificity Expressed primarily in hematopoietic organs, including bone marrow, spleen and thymus. Also expressed at very low levels in lung, kidney, mammary glands and small intestine.
